Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963, to the musically inclined family of Newark New Jersey is the daughter of Gospel star Cissy Houston and John Russell Houston Jr. Also, she is the sister of singer Dionne Warwick. In Newark, Whitney began singing in the church choir in the early years of her childhood. At the age 15 she joined her mom in singing background vocals on Chaka's hit Im Every Woman from 1978. In 1981, she did a stint as a fashion model, and was featured on the Seventeen album cover. She also performed backing vocals to Lou Rawls and Jermaine. The quality of her work as the featured vocalist of New York funk group Material attracted the attention of several major record labels, including Arista, with which she signed in 1982 and was with them for the rest of her life. The year 1985 saw Whitney Houston's debut album became the top-selling debut album of all time. My Love was her debut album. My Love was released in 1985 and was a top one smash. The album sold US 3,000,000 copies before it went to 25,000,000 world-wide. This gave her the first of her six Grammy Awards. The Whitney sequel in 1987, featuring the singles What Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to expand on the popularity of her debut album. However, it was, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard that solidified her status as one the world's most well-known artist. The film and her part as a character was not appreciated, but the soundtrack and her rendition of the song by Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You was a hit for a few months on the charts and she sold nearly 44 million singles and albums worldwide. Also in 1993 that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition artist and father of the sole child of her marriage, Bobbi Kristina Brown. About this time her well-documented drug use started and in 1996, she had been using drugs on a daily basis.

Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz as she's more well-known, is an American anchorwoman reporter who also serves as CNN's political anchorwoman and political correspondent. Her prior work has included NBC, CBS and other prominent channels. Her productions include some of CNN's weekends shows like Evans & Novak Late Edition as well as Inside Politics. Bash is a recipient of numerous awards and honors. Elle magazine once listed Bash on the Women in Washington Power List. Her remarkable anchoring and reportage skills are praised by many journalists.
