Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. He blends soul gospel jazz and R&B in a distinct mix. Her career path has taken her across Broadway to European events and clubs, and even to her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was born Denise White. While she now lives in Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical experience began at the church where she sang and was a pianist. Her musical career began in Atlanta at Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You a House 12 came out only in Japan. The song has been remixed numerous times and it is a mainstay of her live shows. The Fighting Temptations was the other soundtrack she sang on. In 2005, she was employed as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) was approached for an opportunity to be the choir conductor for Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition during her four daily performances at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform in the Obama administration's 2009 inauguration.
