Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Parents of Winona Ryder chose her name after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father came from a Jewish origin. Uria Ryder is her younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County to California when she was seven years old. They lived in a place without electric power. There was no television books were Ryder's only distraction for her time, and she was a voracious reader. Ryder began taking acting lessons at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was twelve years old. In 1986 she was offered her first major-screen appearance in the film Lucas when she was just fifteen years old. Ryder was bullied in high school. She hoped that her acting career would change this. Unfortunately, that did not take place. Still, she kept chasing her dreams. In 1988, it was in the year Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that gave her her first big break. Ryder was later cast in numerous roles that were successful. In 1993, he was nominated twice for Academy Awards.
